Ryan's Rainbow Emergency Food Outreach Society (RREFO) is a non-profit organization located in Burnaby, BC. Founded in 2017 by Teresa Rasquinha, its primary mission is to provide emergency food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity. We understand that unexpected circumstances such as job loss, illness, or other challenging situations can lead to difficulties in accessing nutritious food, and we aim to bridge that gap.
Ken Ryan, the inspiration behind Ryan's Rainbow, was known for his kind-hearted and generous nature. He recognized the need for immediate food assistance in the Burnaby community and decided to act. Since its establishment, Ryan's Rainbow has been dedicated to sourcing and distributing food to those in need, helping them meet their basic requirements.
Community involvement is crucial to the success of our organization. We strongly believe that collective efforts and support are essential to creating a meaningful impact. We are grateful for and proud of our dedicated volunteers who selflessly contribute their time and energy to help us carry out our mission. Their commitment and hard work enable us to serve the community effectively and make a positive difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity.
At Ryan's Rainbow, we strive to create a compassionate and inclusive environment for everyone we serve. We aim to not only address immediate food needs but also empower individuals and families to achieve long-term food security. Through our programs and initiatives, we work towards building a stronger, more resilient community where everyone has access to nutritious food, regardless of their circumstances.
If you would like more specific information about our programs, services, or how to get involved as a volunteer or a recipient of assistance, please let us know, and we will be happy to provide further details.
